Del Mar Kiwanis presents check to Phoenix House

(Right) Del Mar Kiwanis Club president Leslie Jackson presents a $1,600 check to Megan Finlay of Phoenix House.

The Del Mar Kiwanis Club recently donated $1,600 to Phoenix House, an organization that helps youth with substance abuse issues. It has branches throughout the nation, with two facilities in San Diego County. The Carlsbad facility treats patients on an out-patient basis while the Descanso site offers inpatient care. Financial assistance is offered through donations from local service clubs.

If you are interested in serving the youth in this community, consider attending a Kiwanis Club meeting. The Del Mar club serves the communities of Del Mar, Carmel Valley, Solana Beach and Rancho Santa Fe. Call Chuck Phillips 858-354-6536 for more information. Call Phoenix House at 619-445-0405
