An Evening in Casablanca, a benefit gala for Del Mar Community Connections, was held Oct. 15 at St. Peter’s Parish Hall, with all the elements of Rick’s Café Americain from the iconic 1942 movie in evidence.

The event began with cocktails, followed by a Moroccan-inspired dinner by Sbicca, a live auction and dancing to the ’40s-era music of Randy Fontaine & the Swingers.

Proceeds benefit Del Mar Community Connections’ In-Home Connections, a program designed to help seniors remain safe and healthy in their homes. Individual client needs are met through visits, transportation to medical appointments, prescription pickup, grocery shopping, social events and more. Photos: Jon Clark
