Solana Beach Little League season opens

Solana Beach Little League held its opening day ceremonies for its 55th season March 3 at Solana Vista Elementary School.

The event featured a player parade with special guests, a ceremonial first pitch, honor guard and musical tributes, including the national anthem. Players had their photos taken, followed by the games.

More than 400 boys and girls from Solana Beach, Carmel Valley and Del Mar play in the Solana Beach league.
