Public workshops to be held on Del Mar Village Plan Draft EIR

Do you have questions on the Draft Program Environmental Impact Report prepared for the Del Mar Village Specific Plan? The City Council will be conducting a public workshop at its Monday, April 2, meeting; the workshop is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. time certain. You are invited to participate in this workshop to be held at the TV Studio located at 240 Tenth Street. The 45-day public review period ends and written comments on the draft Program EIR are due by the end of business on Friday, May 4, 2012.

There are many upcoming opportunities to provide public comment and/or get your questions answered about either the draft Village Specific Plan or draft Program EIR. City representatives will be attending the Farmers’ Market each Saturday through June to answer questions and hear your comments.

There are more Q&A Sessions planned to be held at the City Hall Annex, 235 11th Street. At these sessions, the public will have an opportunity to ask staff questions directly in an open question and answer format. The next Q&A sessions are scheduled for:
Wednesday April 4, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Monday, April 9, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, April 10, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Monday, April 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

City Council is also planning a special workshop on April 30 at 6 p.m. in the TV Studio dedicated to discussing the draft EIR and Village Specific Plan. This will be a roundtable discussion with lots of time for comments.
