Del Mar Beach Safety Center opening celebration is June 27

The grand opening of the Beach Safety Center (lifeguard tower) in Del Mar will be held on Wednesday, June 27, at 3 p.m. at 1700 Coast Blvd., Del Mar, 92014. Refreshments will be served. RSVPs not required. Call 858-755-9313 for more information.

Hosted by the City of Del Mar and the Friends of the Powerhouse, the new facility replaces the previous structure and ensures effective lifeguard protection and improved access to the beach for residents and the millions of visitors to the beaches of Del Mar.

The Friends of the Powerhouse thanks everyone for their generous support to fund, design and complete this important community project. Planks and tiles are still available. Please call 858-755-1641 for more information.
