Solana Beach Car Free Saturday is Aug. 25

BikeWalkSolana announces Car Free Saturday which will take place on Saturday, Aug. 25.  Join the movement and leave the car at home. Walk or bike to the store, the library, the beach, the coffee shop, Beach Blanket Movie Night at Fletcher Cove, wherever life takes you.

As part of the event you can help make Solana Beach more walkable. Join friends and walkers of all ages at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 25 for a mini-walking tour of Solana Beach with BikeWalkSolana and WalkSanDiego.  The walk will start from La Colonia Park and head north up Stevens Avenue. The walking environment will be rated and needed improvements identified.

Walk or bike on Car Free Saturday to Revolution Bike Shop (235 S. Hwy 101, Solana Beach, (858) 481-4148) or Velo Hanger (637 Valley Ave, Solana Beach, 760-492-6450) and receive a 10 percent discount.
