Local election results

•Prop J, the City of Del Mar revitalization plan was defeated with 58.20 percent of voters (1,136) against the plan and 41.80 percent in favor (816).

•Alan Smerican was elected to the Division Two seat (Solana Beach) on the Santa Fe Irrigation District board with 60.10 percent of the vote.

•Lesa Heebner (18.91 percent), David Zito (18.47 percent) and Peter Zahn (18.03 percent) were elected to the Solana Beach City Council.

•Solana Beach Deputy Mayor Dave Roberts is leading the San Diego County Board of Supervisors (District Three seat) race by a vote of 50.70 percent (Steve Danon has received 49.30 percent of the vote).

•Richard Leib (38.93 percent) and Julie Union (36.52 percent) were elected to the Solana Beach School Board.

•Joyce Dalessandro (31.30 percent) and Beth Hergesheimer (29.58 percent) were elected to the San Dieguito Union High School District board.

•Scott Peters is leading the 52nd Congressional District seat with 50.17 percent of the vote over Brian Bilbray (49.83 percent).

•Sherri Lightner was re-elected to the San Diego City Council (District One) with 54.18 percent of the vote to Ray Ellis’ 45.82 percent.

•Bob Filner is leading the Mayor of San Diego race with 51.53 percent of the vote to Carl DeMaio’s 48.47 percent.

•Prop W, City of Solana Beach Medical Marijuana Dispensaries, was defeated with 62.92 percent voting against the proposition.

•Prop H, City of Del Mar Medical Marijuana Dispensaries, was defeated with 56.40 percent voting against the proposition.
