The Carmel Valley 5K and Kid’s Fun Run benefiting the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation was held Dec. 8.

Funds raised from the event help provide schools with specialists in art, music, PE, technology and science.

The scenic three-mile course began at Carmel Del Mar School and traveled along the CVREP bike trail along SR-56. The Kid’s Fun Run was a one-mile course for kindergarten through sixth-graders at the Carmel Del Mar School.
