New retailers coming to Del Mar Highlands Town Center
Del Mar Highlands Town Center recently announced that Tucci, a locally owned and operated unique women’s boutique, is opening its second location at the shopping center. Two other new tenants will also soon be added to the mix at Del Mar Highlands Town Center – College Nannies and Tutors, and, as reporter earlier in this newspaper, Snooze, a fun new breakfast/lunch eatery. These latest retailers will join the center’s wide variety of dining, shopping and entertainment options.
“Del Mar Highlands Town Center is pleased to welcome these three new tenants this spring and summer,” said Elizabeth Schreiber, vice president and general manager of the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. “We are continuing to bring the best retailers to the Carmel Valley community and we are proud to host locally owned companies.”
Tucci is owned by San Diego native Jessica Agatucci. She opened her first location in the Cedros District of Solana Beach eight years ago. Tucci at Del Mar Highlands Town Center will open on April 15. The boutique will be located between Urban Plates and DryBar. Tucci offers women a unique shopping experience and features brands such as Melissa Odabash, Frank & Eileen, Goddiss, Beyond Yoga and more. The boutique often carries designers that can’t be found elsewhere in San Diego County.
“When I moved back to San Diego after living in Los Angeles, I knew I wanted to open a boutique that was inspired by all the fun shops I had frequented along Melrose and Montana Avenue during my time there,” said Agatucci. “The Del Mar Highlands Town Center provides a perfect location for me to expand my presence and provide a variety of beautiful women’s clothing to a new community of clients.”
College Nannies and Tutors focuses on helping families with their needs for childcare and tutoring services. The company provides families with nannies and tutors who are recent college graduates with backgrounds in education and child development. College Nannies and Tutors try to match the child’s interest with those of the caretaker or tutor. Located on the second floor near Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza, their Del Mar Highlands Town Center location will focus on tutoring services and provide a place of study for the surrounding community’s students. College Nannies and Tutors will open in early summer.
“What sets College Nannies and Tutors apart is that we consider our employees not only top notch nannies and tutors but role models for our clientele,” said Laura Davis, owner of College Nannies and Tutors. “We look forward to getting to know the Carmel Valley community and visitors of the Del Mar Highlands Town Center.”
A high-energy, funky and retro restaurant, Snooze has become a favorite breakfast and lunch hot spot in the Hillcrest area. CEO David Birzon is opening Snooze’s second San Diego location at the shopping center this spring and it will be located near FedExOffice and AT&T. The restaurant focuses on providing its customers with the freshest, highest levels of ingredients and making everything from scratch.
In addition to these new tenants, the shopping center will be adding new retail space by late summer, which will be located near Geppetto’s and FedExOffice.
