Santa prepares to greet the children at Fletcher Cove

The City of Solana Beach’s Parks and Recreation Commission hosted the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Event at Fletcher Cove Park Dec. 8.

Throughout the evening the community was entertained by award-winning pianist Robert Parker, and the Nutcracker Youth Dancers from the All Star Dance Studio. Santa arrived by a fire-truck escort, and the event included sweets, treats, cider and coffee.
