Week in sports for Del Mar, Carmel Valley and Solana Beach

Torrey Pines got through the first round of Palomar League play without a scratch.

The first-place Falcons improved to 6-0 in league with 75-54 victory over Westview on  Feb. 7.

The win followed a 69-37 league victory against Rancho Bernardo three days earlier.

Brandon Cyrus scored 26 points to lead the Falcons in the Westview game.

Dominic Hovasse and Sam Worman each added 12 points. Hovasse also contributed nine points and six assists.

Cyrus scored 23 points to lead the Falcons in the Rancho Bernardo game.

Worman and Jack Beach each added 11 points.

The Falcons improved their overall record for the season  to 21-4.

Cathedral Catholic lost to Lincoln 71-67 in a Western League game on Feb. 4.

Cameron Moore scored 26 points and Reid Johnson scored 16 points and had 18 rebounds to lead the Dons.

Kyle Kappes and Jacoby Richmond each added eight points.

The Dons improved to 5-3 in league and 13-8 overall for the season.

Santa Fe Christian snapped a three-game losing streak with a 44-42 Coastal League victory over La Jolla Country Day on Feb. 7.

The victory followed a 63-53 league loss to Army-Navy two days earlier.

Brian Finley scored 23 points to lead the Eagles in the LJCD game and Jack Langborg added 11 points.

Finley scored 26 points and Langborg added 11 points in the Army-Navy game.

The Eagles improved to 2-4 in league and 14-9 overall for the season.

San Diego Jewish Academy had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 66-36 Pacific League loss to red-hot Calvin Christian on Feb. 5.

Judah Rosenzweig scored 19 points to lead the Lions in the Calvin Christian game.

Rosenzweig scored 29 points to lead the Lions in the Escondido Charter game.

Adam Sloane and Aaron Perez added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

First-place Calvin Christian improved to 9-0.

The Lions improved to 5-3 in league and 14-5 overall for the season.

Girls basketball:

Torrey Pines extended its winning streak to eight games as the Falcons defeated Olympian 55-42 in a nonleague game on Feb. 8.

The victory followed two Palomar League wins earlier in the week; 51-25 over Westview on Feb. 7 and 76-41 against Rancho Bernardo three days earlier.

Sierra Campisano scored 32 points and had 12 rebounds to lead the Falcons in the Olympian game and Christian Ellis added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Ellis scored 20 points and Campisano contributed eight points to lead the Falcons in the Westview game.

Campisano scored 23 points and added 15 rebounds to lead the Falcons against Rancho Bernardo.

Ellis and Madison Lombard added 17 and 13 points, respectively.

The Falcons improved to 6-0 in league and 18-5 overall for the season.

Cathedral Catholic had its nine-game winning streak snapped as the Dons lost to Mount Miguel 68-57 in a nonleague game on Feb. 8.

The loss followed an 81-8 trouncing of Lincoln in a Western League game on Feb. 4.

The Dons improved to 8-0 in league and 17-6 overall for the season.

Canyon Crest Academy experienced a 43-33 loss to Rancho Bernardo in a Palomar League game on Feb. 7.

Erin McBurnett scored 10 points and had five rebounds to lead the Ravens and McKenna Platt contributed five points and nine rebounds.

The Ravens fell to 0-6 in league and 10-12 overall for the season.

Girls soccer:

Torrey Pines defeated Westview 6-0 in a Palomar League game on Feb. 6.

The victory followed a 1-0 league win against Rancho Bernardo two days earlier.

Catarina Macario scored four goals and Anissa Dadkhah scored one goal and had three assists to lead the Falcons in the Westview game.

Dadkhah scored the only goal in the Rancho Bernardo game off an assist from Courtney Coate.

The Falcons improved to 5-0-1 in league and 17-1-1 overall for the season.

Cathedral Catholic defeated Coronado 3-1 in a Western League game on Feb. 6.

The Dons defeated University City 2-0 two days earlier.

Olivia Erlbeck scored two goals to lead the Dons in the Coronado game.

Brittany Doan added one goal and Alex Ocon and Jessica Clegg each added one assist.

Sunny Dunphy and Brittany Doan each scored one goal to lead the Dons in the University City game and Dana Dalton and Erlbeck each contributed one assist.

Dons goalie Hanna Macaulay had eight saves.

The Dons improved to 6-0 in league and 16-2-3 overall for the season.

Santa Fe Christian defeated Pacific Ridge 3-2 in a Coastal League South game on Feb. 4.

Ali Whiting and Paige Stehly each scored one goal and had one assist to lead the Eagles and Kristen Cole contributed one goal.

Eagles goalie Madalyn Tschantz had eight saves.

The Eagles improved to 3-2-2 in league and 7-4-7 overall for the season.
