Residential burglaries up in Del Mar Mesa area, officer reports

At the Del Mar Mesa planning board’s April 10 meeting, San Diego Police Department Community Relations Officer Tracey Williams reported a recent rise in residential burglaries in the Del Mar Mesa area.  He called the thefts mostly “crimes of opportunity,” where homeowners are leaving garage doors open.  — Suzanne Evans
