Trailer catches fire near Del Mar Fairgrounds

A travel trailer caught fire near the Del Mar Fairgrounds Aug. 6, fire officials said.

The fire just outside the fairgrounds on Jimmy Durante Boulevard was reported shortly before 6 a.m., and firefighters had it knocked down 17 minutes later, a North County fire dispatcher said.

The fire was confined to one travel trailer, according to sheriff’s officials.

No injuries were reported, the fire dispatcher said.
