Despite the rain, hundreds of eager egg hunters turned up for the Spring Egg Hunt, held April 11 at Carmel Valley Recreation Center. The hunt, which began at 9:30 a.m., was divided into five age groups: 0 to 2; 3 and 4; 5 and 6; 7 and 8; and 9 and older.
Pianist Reiko Uchida and violinist Jessica Lee performed at the Mainly Mozart Club Amadeus patron donors event, which was held April 5 at the La Jolla home of Victor Fargo.
Uchida is the first-prize winner of the Joanna Hodges Piano Competition, and Lee is the first-prize winner of the 2005 Concert Artists Guild International Competition.

More than 400 friends of the San Diego Natural History Museum gathered at the museum on March 6 for the seventh Dos Aguilas Binational Fiesta.
Inside and out, the museum was transformed into a Mexican fiesta. Epicurean tasting stations offered food from Romesco Baja Med Bistro, El Rey Sol, El Vitral Restaurant and Tequila Lounge, Cowboy Star and others. A mariachi band and the Opera de Tijuana performed.
