The Solana Beach Art Association will hold its annual reception “Fall Fantasy” on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend the event. The fine art work of several of the artists who are members of the association will be on display for attendees to enjoy. The exhibition will be held at the Solana Beach City Hall Gallery, located at 635 S. Highway 101, Solana Beach.
A solo exhibition of geometric paintings and wooden sculptures by artist Stephen M. Wilkens is on display in the Solana Beach City Hall Gallery until Aug. 15. Intricate wood assemblages of ornate and everyday paraphernalia are in contrast with the simple, clean compositions of 57 brightly colored paintings.

Mark Quint grew up in this area and went to college at the San Francisco Art Institute and then taught art in Hawaii for five years. Quint opened a contemporary art gallery in La Jolla in 1981.
