Del Mar art lecture to be held on ‘Olmec: Mexico’s Ancient Civilization’

An art lecture on “Olmec: Mexico’s Ancient Civilization” will be presented on Monday, April 15, by Janet Brody Esser, Ph.D. and Professor Emeritus of Latin American Art History at San Diego State University. Having studied and lived in Peru and Mexico, she will be sharing her knowledge about the history of this vibrant country and the artifacts and art left behind by this civilization.

Erik Skoldberg Gallery opens at the Del Mar Plaza

Erik Skoldberg, a contemporary artist and resident of San Diego, has opened his first gallery at the Del Mar Plaza. Erik Skoldberg Gallery showcases Skoldberg’s original fine art in a 2,000-square-foot space on the Plaza’s third level.

Expert to speak on ‘The Art of Appraisal’ in Del Mar

Natashe Bonilla Martinez, an appraiser at Thompson and Martinez, will use her background to answer questions about the appraisal of art. The lecture meeting will be held on Monday, March 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Parish Hall, Del Mar, 15th & Maiden Lane (across from the Del Mar Plaza).
