Carmel Valley’s Earthwise sponsors Halloween pet adoption Oct. 18

Carmel Valley Recreation Center offers Medicare workshops

The Carmel Valley Recreation Council and Living Legacy Resources, LLC invite the community to “Free Medicare Education 2015,” from 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 and Oct. 28, at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center.

This free workshop presented by Susan R. Carré, Medicare futurist, is geared toward baby boomers and seniors turning 65 to explain recent changes to Medicare because of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in 2014.

Del Mar Foundation to hold annual Halloween Dog Parade and Costume Competition

The Halloween Dog Parade and Costume Competition will be held on Oct. 26 at 3 p.m. at Powerhouse Park in Del Mar.

The Del Mar Foundation will present its Halloween Dog Parade and Costume Competition on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 3 p.m. at the Powerhouse Park. Prizes will be awarded for best costume in multiple categories, including Most Glamorous, Most Spooky, Best Combo – Dog and Owner, Best Combo – Multiple Dogs, and more.
