Synchro swimmers earn trip to National Championships

Twenty members of San Dieguito Synchro are headed to the U.S. Age Group National Synchronized Swimming Championships in Federal Way, Wash., this June.  They earned their berth with an impressive showing at the Southern California Regional Championships held in La Mirada, Calif. on May 21.

Carmel Valley Dons Spring Tackle Team off to 6-0 start

The Carmel Valley Dons Spring 8 Tackle Football 3rd-4th grade team has started its season with an impressive six-game winning streak. In a recent game against the Mira Mesa Gold team (5-0 at that time), the Dons players demonstrated a strong defensive show, allowing only one touchdown.

Beast takes championship in 12U Division

In dramatic fashion, the Beast won the 12U championship of the North Shore Girls Softball League’s recreational season. The Beast held the Ninjas in the last inning for a thrilling 7-6 win.

Former pro leads Lax West youth lacrosse program to success

In a little over a year-and-a-half in existence, Carmel Valley-based Lax West youth lacrosse program has grown to have about 500 kids participate in its club teams, tournaments, camps and clinics. Leading the attack on this successful program is founder Michael Watson, a four-time All American and former professional lacrosse player.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito Aquatics Department Rancho San Dieguito Swimming Team’s annual fundraiser will be held April 20, from 11:45 a.m.-5:45 p.m., at Pardee Aquatics Center in Solana Beach.

Carmel Valley Winter 2011 Open third- and fourth-grade boys division champions

On Thursday, March 10, the Riptide captured the Carmel Valley Open Youth Grades 3-4 Boys Division Basketball League Championship. Demonstrating outstanding teamwork, the Riptide posted a 41-25 victory in the championship game. The Riptide capped a perfect 10-0 undefeated season in the 12-team division!

Solana Beach Soccer Club releases registration dates

The Solana Beach Soccer Club (SBSC) offers a youth recreational program for children, kindergarten through 12th grade. The club serves 400 players, with support from its sponsors, volunteer coaches and board members.
