Author Tom Zoellner will discuss his new book, "Uranium: War, Energy and the Rock that Shaped the World," at 7 p.m. April 16 at The Book Works in Del Mar.
The book takes a look at the world's most powerful source of energy. There will be time for Q&A and a book signing will follow. Wine and cheese will also be served. This event is free to the public.
Tom Zoellner is the author of "The Heartless Stone" and co-author of "An Ordinary Man," the autobiography of Paul Rusesabagina, whose actions inspired the movie "Hotel Rwanda." Zoellner, who was recently interviewed on "The Daily Show," has worked as a contributing editor at Men's Health magazine and as a reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle.
