City Ballet of San Diego begins its 17th season with 'Giselle,' at 8 p.m. Nov. 6-7 and 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at a new home, Spreckels Theatre, 121 Broadway. First presented in 1841, 'Giselle' is the story of a peasant girl who protects her lover from the vengeance of a group of evil female spirits. The role of Giselle will be shared by Ariana Samuelsson and Janica Smith; musical accompaniment by the City Ballet Orchestra led by John Nettles.
