Greenhouse tours will be free to the public at 11 a.m. and 1:30 and 3 p.m. Nov. 21-22 at Weidners Gardens, 695 Normandy Road, Encinitas. Staff will provide tips on helping poinsettias survive the holidays and grow again in the garden. Debbie Johnson will demonstrate poinsettia arrangements and succulent combinations. KEVA PLANKS (Knowledge-Exploration-Visual-Arts) are building blocks that foster the imagination and defy gravity. Art for healing. San Diego Cancer Center and Solana Beach Art Association teamed up to present the work of Heidi Rufeh and Amber Irwin. "From Riflemen to Freshmen," the first of several exhibits of historic photographs, documents and other materials from the UCSD Archives that document the World War II military activities, personnel and facilities on portions of campus land. "Darwin: Evolution/
Revolution" features the broadest collection ever assembled of specimens, artifacts, original manuscripts and memorabilia related to Charles Darwin.
