TV talk-show host Larry King will speak at the San Diego Jewish Book Fair on Nov. 8.

Over the last 15 years, the San Diego Jewish Book Fair has earned a reputation for the quality: It is recognized by the National Jewish Book Council as one of the best in the nation, said its co-chair Gloria Stone.

This year's roster is filled with some 30 celebrities and household names: Larry King, Harold S. Kushner, Anita Diamant, Robert K. Tanenbaum, Amos Oz, Francine Prose, Peter Yarrow, Michel Tucker and Jill Eikenberry.

Harold S. Kushner:
Oct. 19

Rabbi Kushner taught us all how to survive tragedy in his bestselling "When Bad Things Happen to Good People." Now he tells us how to survive in a world beset with terror and uncertainty in "Conquering Fear." Again he draws on both religious and secular truths to help us not only conquer anxiety, but also enhance our lives and improve the lives of those around us.

Robert Tanenbaum:
Nov. 2.

Tanenbaum has never lost a felony case and has never written an unsuccessful book. With 23 million copies in print, he has been called the master of the legal thriller. His latest, "Capture," explores how the use of the "big lie" has corrupted American society and its justice system.

Larry King: Nov. 8

King has been called "the most remarkable talk-show host on TV ever," by TV Guide and "master of the mike" by Time magazine. He recently penned a memoir of his 50 years in broadcasting.

Anita Diamant: Nov. 10.

Diamant, author of "The Red Tent," discusses her latest work "Day After Night: A Novel." It tells the story of four young Jewish Women who survive the Holocaust and escape to Palestine, where they find friendship, love, courage and hope in a British internment camp.

Michael Tucker and Jill Eikenberry: Nov. 10

Many will remember Tucker and Eikenberry from the television series "LA Law." In their memoir, "Family Meals," the couple recounts caring for Eikenberry's mother, who suffered from dementia, with the help of their children, friends and neighbors.

Francine Prose: Nov. 11

Had she lived, Anne Frank would have celebrated her 80th birthday on June 12. Novelist Prose examines Frank's significance in, "Anne Frank: The Book, the Life, the After Life," seeing it as a historical record that has become a moral parable for our times.

Amos Oz: Nov. 12

Oz has been called the "cultural voice of Israel." His prose has won him the Goethe Prize in Germany, the Legion d'Honneur from France, and the Prince of Asturias from Spain. He will read from "Rhyming Life and Death," a meditation on literature and language, life and death through the prism of a celebrity author.

Peter Yarrow: Nov. 12

Yarrow, of the legendary folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, leads a sing-a-long at the Family Day Book-A-Palooza.
