Golf Invitational raises $170,000

HeadNorth Foundation, a San Diego-based nonprofit foundation that provides support and guidance to individuals and families affected by spinal cord injury while championing a cure for paralysis, raised approximately $170,000 at its fourth annual Golf Invitational held on June 16 at The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe.

All proceeds from the invitational benefited the local spinal cord injury community, helping HeadNorth to provide grants to spinal cord injury survivors.

Approximately 132 players participated in the invitational, including HeadNorth founder Eric Northbrook, a member of San Diego's real estate community who was injured in a motorcycle accident in January 2006 that left him paralyzed from the chest down.

The tournament also included a cocktail reception, awards dinner and auction with 220 guests in attendance.
