"I'm Not Rappaport," a Tony Award-winning comedy by Herb Gardner, is on stage through Oct. 10 at Scripps Ranch Theatre.
The story centers on two old codgers, Midge and Nat, who meet in the park daily and whose cantankerous relationship is the stuff of pure comic genius.
Directed by Robert May of Carmel Valley, the leads are played by two of San Diego's finest actors, Charlie Riendeau and Antonio "TJ" Johnson, both Patte Award winners.
Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays in the Legler Benbough Theatre on the campus of Alliant International University (formerly United States International University) on Avenue of Nations in Scripps Ranch, a half-mile east of the Interstate 15/Miramar-Pomerado Road exit.
Tickets, $18-$20, are available through the box office at (858) 578-7728.
