Carmel Valley News writers win more awards

Carmel Valley News writers Joe Tash and Marsha Sutton recently won awards in the Society of Professional Journalists, San Diego Chapter, journalism contest. Tash won a second place award for a story published in this newspaper titled “Local residents help Zambians make a living through ‘Zambikes”; and Sutton won a third place award (honorable mention) for a story published in this newspaper titled “TPHS student convicted of drunk driving speaks out.” Both writers and this newspaper have won numerous journalism awards over the years, including several national “General Excellence” awards.
