Carmel Valley Library to host evening of operatic solos, duets and trios

June’s free family music program sponsored by the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library will be presented on Wednesday, June 8, at 7 p.m. in the library’s community room. Sopranos Mariko Kanamitsu and Pamela Narbona, and baritone David Marshman will perform songs by Mendelssohn and arias by Offenbach, Mozart and Donizetti from "The Tales of Hoffmann," "The Marriage of Figaro," "Don Giovanni," "The Magic Flute," "The Elixir of Love" and "Cosi Fan Tutte." They will be accompanied by pianist Mizue Shapiro. The program will last 45 minutes.
