The average price of a gallon of self-serve unleaded regular gasoline in San Diego County rose for the seventh consecutive day Monday, but by a smaller amount than the three previous days.
The average price increased sixth-tenths of cent to $1.786, 7.9 cents more than a week ago, but 39.6 cents less than a month ago, $1.474 less than at this time last year and $2.844 less than the record high of $4.63 set June 19, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.
A 91-day streak of declining prices ended Tuesday with a half-cent increase from last Monday. The average increased six-tenths of a cent from Tuesday to Wednesday, two-tenths of a cent from Wednesday to Thursday, 2.2 cents from Thursday to Friday, 2.3 cents from Friday to Saturday and 1.5 cents from Saturday to Sunday.
