Lightner
Goal is to create community dialogue

Councilmember Sherri Lightner will convene a University City community meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 22 at the auditorium of Standley Middle School, 6298 Radcliffe Dr., 92122.

A press release from her office said it will not be an informational meeting, but an opportunity for the community to share, listen and heal in response to the Dec. 8, 2008, military jet crash in University City, emergency response and its aftermath.

"I encourage the community to come, engage in a healthy dialogue with your neighbors, and help identify ways in which the community can move forward from this tragedy," Lightner said.

Sherri Lightner is the councilmember for the First Council District of the City of San Diego, which includes the communities of Carmel Valley, Del Mar Mesa, La Jolla, Pacific Highlands Ranch, Rancho Pe'asquitos, Torrey Hills, Torrey Highlands, Torrey Pines and University City.
