Carmel Valley screenwriter and filmmaker Jeanne McKinney was looking for an inspirational story to tell when she sniffed out a group of people who have devoted their lives to bringing lost people home. For her latest film, "Trackers-Every Life is Important," McKinney focused on the efforts of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department search and rescue canine team, led by volunteer Pam Medhurst. Working alongside Sgt. Don Parker the SAR coordinator, the canine units have played an important role in assisting in the rescues and recoveries
