Anyone who watched a football game on Fox this season would surely recognize Frank Caliendo. He's the comedian who morphs into characterizations of folks like George W. Bush, John Madden, Charles Barkley and Dr. Phil.
Caliendo is bringing his impressions to San Diego to make people laugh for a very special cause. The Rancho Santa Fe Unit of the Rady's Hospital Auxiliary is hosting Stand Up for Rady with Caliendo on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Grand Del Mar.
The night will begin with a silent auction and an informal dinner. Guests will move to theater-style seating for a live auction and a one-hour performance by Caliendo. Desserts and dancing will go on until midnight.
Proceeds from the event will support the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at the hospital. Last year, the hospital saw 14,249 cancer-related visits and it serves as the largest pediatric cancer care facility in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
The Rancho Santa Fe unit of the auxiliary was founded in 1960 and today includes 66 active and 96 supporting members.
A limited number of tickets are available, ranging from $500 to $1,000. Visit
