Last Friday night, Sept. 5, kicked off another season of high school football at Torrey Pines High School. As has been the tradition for the past several years, the first home game is deemed Pop Warner Night, when younger Falcon squads look up to their varsity counterparts and see what they can achieve with hard work and practice. Pop Warner cheerleaders also participated in the action, making the "Falcon Rock" cheer really rock. Those staying for the varsity game were treated to a thrashing-Torrey Pines defeated Roosevelt High 41-0. They take on Eastlake tonight at home, kickoff at 7 p.m.
