The Solana Beach Halloween Carnival was complete fun with carnival rides, giant slides, raffle prizes, recreational booths, a silent auction, food and refreshments. It was a benefit put on by the Solana Beach Foundation for the city's public elementary schools.
The event is put on by volunteers and support from local vendors and merchants. Co-chairs presiding over the event Michelle Moraga and Kelly Zimmer hope this year's event will raise $45,000 for the school programs.
"It was very successful," Moraga said of the carnival, but did not have an exact fundraising total at press time.
