Light rain fell early Thursday morning in San Diego County but there was only a slight chance the wet weather would last, forecasters said.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a 20 percent chance of showers Thursday in coastal, valley and mountains areas. The rest of Thursday's forecast called for partly cloudy skies.

county, the agency reported.
Strong wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour were also likely tonight in mountains and desert areas, according to the Weather Service.
Temperatures today were expected to peak mostly in the mid-60s in coastal and valley areas, high 50s in the mountains and low 70s in the deserts.
