David is a Union-Tribune public safety reporter. He interned in early 2015, and rejoined the team later that year. Previously he interned at the Santa Cruz Sentinel and the El Paso Times. He was a Chips Quinn Scholar in 2015. A San Diego State alumnus, he was the student-run newspaper's news editor in college.
