The undefeated Cathedral Catholic football team will take on rival St. Augustine tonight as part of the annual Holy Bowl. A large crowd is expected for the much-anticipated face-off at 7 p.m. at Southwestern Junior College. The game is even more anticipated this year as last year's match-up was cancelled due to the wildfires.
The 5-3 Saints are coming off a 23-19 loss to Mira Mesa. The 8-0 Dons are fresh off a 66-10 victory over Patrick Henry and have in their arsenal running back Tyler Gaffney, who leads the county in touchdowns scored with 30. Southwestern is located at 900 Otay Lakes Road in Chula Vista.
