California Student Media Festival winners include CCA Cinema students

Canyon Crest Academy Envision Cinema Conservatory students Melanie An and Reed Martin along with Coordinator Mark Raines represented the school at the 52nd annual California Student Media Festival awards ceremony held June 2 at the Harmony Gold Preview House in Los Angeles.

Their documentary “IMAX In Focus: Bee Conscious” was the recipient of the Sustainability Spotlight Award. This is the sixth consecutive year CCA has won at the festival. It was also one of only five high schools in the nation to make a short documentary film for IMAX during the first year of the IMAX program.The film was produced by Melanie An, Noah Hecht, Reed Martin, Campbell Moore, Roberto Pino and Thomas Wade.
