Encinitas Elks Lodge donates gifts to homeless veterans’ families
Every year the Encinitas Elks Lodge #2243 in Cardiff sponsors homeless veterans’ families for Christmas. The families are all from the Veterans Village of San Diego. The Encinitas Elks Lodge buys gifts for the families, an effort that was supported this year by a $4,500 grant from the Elks organization’s Grand Lodge.
On Dec. 20, the Encinitas Elks Lodge members held a wrapping party for the gifts to be donated to the veterans’ families.
