Encinitas Holiday Parade

For the 61st year, Encinitas kicked off the holiday season Dec. 1 with a Holiday Parade and tree lighting event. This year’s theme was Botanical Oasis and the event also honored Grand Marshall Julian Duval. Many of the nearly 100 parade entries also competed to win a prize in one of the judged categories for lights, creativity, performance, music, spirit and overall impression.
