Del Mar Heights Elementary School held its annual talent show Jan. 26. The event featured dancers, singers, musicians and more. The Del Mar Heights 6th graders made a big effort throughout the week leading up to the talent show to raise funds and donations for the Monarch School, a K-12 school in downtown San Diego for homeless children. The Del Mar Heights students collected toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair ties and combs, and held a bake sale at the talent show's intermission to collect monetary donations to benefit the Monarch School. In addition, they kicked off the talent show with a presentation and a performance they created on their own.
