VeloYouth celebrity bartender fundraiser

VeloYouth held a celebrity bartender fundraiser Jan. 31 at Sbicca restaurant in Del Mar. VeloYouth is a values-based cycling program for at-risk teens. This unique experiential learning program uses the bicycle to teach “Self-Respect, Teamwork, Responsibility and Achievement” to encourage youth to make healthy life choices. Six-week courses with students from Hoover High, Crawford High, Monarch School and other inner city schools end with graduation and the opportunity for kids to earn a free bike.
