Local students receive scholarships from American Hellenic Educations Progressive Association

Every summer the American Hellenic Educations Progressive Association grants scholarships to very promising high school seniors and/or college students.

For 2018 a total scholarship of $6,000 was granted to: Isabella Gadinis, Lea Karavokiris and Katy Laliotis, all from North San Diego County.

In addition to excellent grades from demanding schools, and with honor programs, these young people have distinguished themselves in the arts, extracurricular activities, and volunteering for community service.

Their transcripts demonstrate that they are on track to make substantial contributions in science and medicine in the future.

AHEPA members are "very proud of them, are very happy to support them, and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors"

AHEPA's mission is to promote the ancient Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, integrity, and family and individual excellence through community service and volunteerism. Visit
