The Carmel Valley Democratic Club invites local interested residents to the January meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 23. Two speakers – Julie Trager and Dr. Bill Honigman – will discuss the impact of SB-562, the single payer universal health care bill being considered by the state legislature. The meeting will be held at the Carmel Valley Library, 3919 Townsgate Drive, San Diego, from 5:45-7:45 p.m.
Roya Golchoobian, club president, said, “The Carmel Valley Democratic Club is very excited about the 2018 elections. Our monthly meetings will focus on issues and candidates in this very important election year. We welcome like-minded people who want to contribute to changing the current political culture.”
Julie Trager is the co-chair of Health Care For All San Diego, head of the Steering Committee for Healthy California San Diego, and lead organizer for The Business Alliance for a Healthy California San Diego.
Dr. Bill Honigman is the national coordinator of the health care team for People Demanding Action, the civic arm of the Progressive Democrats of America and he is chair of the Orange County Chapter for Healthy California. He is also a member of the Physicians for a National Health Care Plan and the Orange County Democratic Central Committee.Attendance is free of charge.
