Santa Claus is coming to CV Library
Join the Carmel Valley Library as Santa Claus will do a special storytime with the reading of Twas the Night before Christmas. Be sure to bring a camera for a photo opportunity with Santa Claus. Title Wave Bookstore sale at SB Library
Please come shop for books, art work, puzzles, CDs or DVDs at the Title Wave used bookstore at the Solana Beach Library. The sale will run through Dec. 31.

CV Library: Senior Symposium, TED talks

TED Talk: Chip Kidd does a TED Talk on The Art of First Impressions Design and Life. Chip Kidd is a graphic designer. As a graphic designer for Alfred A. Knopf since 1986, Chip Kidd has designed shelves full of books, including classics such as Jurassic Park, Naked by David Sedaris, and All the Pretty Horses. A Pirate’s Christmas’: ‘Peter Pan and Tinker Bell’

Holiday shows at North Coast Rep
December theatregoers will find something for everyone’s taste at North Coast Repertory Theatre. Dec. 16-17 is an evening of Broadway’s greatest songs by some of America’s most successful Jewish songwriters; finally the return Dec. 20-24 of “Sister’s Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold” is certain to delight the entire family; and due to popular demand North Coast Rep is bringing back Elijah Rock’s “Gershwin For My SOul” Dec. 18.

Three Nutcracker Productions
City Ballet offers matinee and evening shows Dec. 15-17 and Dec. 22-24 at Spreckels Theatre, 121 Broadway, downtown San Diego. Maritime Museum Black and Gold New Year’s Eve Party
Maritime Museum of San Diego, home to a world-class collection of historic sailing ships, steam-powered boats, and submarines, each offering entertaining and educational exhibits, celebrates the New Year in style with the Black and Gold New Year’s Eve Party Sunday, Dec. 31.
Guests bring in the new year on the transformed event center deck of the historic steam ferryboat Berkeley overlooking San Diego Bay in a classy glitzy lounge from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The affair includes music from the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s, full bar, appetizers, photo booth, enormous dessert buffet, dancing, balloon drop at midnight, and champagne toast. Tickets also include party hats, noisemakers, beads, and fun faire to help ring in the New Year.
