Author to read ‘Seed,’ do planting demo June 27 at Del Mar Library

San Diego children’s author Bradley Zink will read his new book, “It Starts With a Seed,” and conduct a seed planting demonstration at 10 a.m. June 27 at the Del Mar Library.

Based on Zink’s research at an organic farm in San Marcos, the book teaches children the stages of plant growth, from seed to harvest.

The plant seed demonstration will allow hands-on learning as each child creates a take-home project. Zink aims to help children develop a love of gardening.
