Antique show at Del Mar fairgrounds this weekend
Calendar Antique shows is proud to present thousands of square feet of antiques, vintage collectibles and decorator items at the Del Mar Fairgrounds from Jan. 16-18.
These exhibitors — more than 250 premier antique dealers from all over California and the western United States — will be selling the finest in antiques and collectibles, including all types of glass, pottery, paper ephemera, crystal, jewelry, art, silver, Americana, primitives, American & European furniture, vintage collectibles and decorator items, and more.
Calendar Shows is also proud to announce that it will be sponsoring a special booth to help customers appraise their unknown treasures. The charge for this service will be $5 per item. The identification of the antiques and collectibles brought in by customers will be handled by experienced appraisers, including Kyle Husfloen (editor of The Antique Trader and Antique Trader Price Guides and a well-known writer on antiques and collectibles for more than 38 years). Also assisting will be local appraisers Bill & Carol Kearney and Christine Saltzman of Cover your Assets — One Company offering many Solutions. Visit www.BillsCYA.com.
Also at the show will be repair and restoration artisans who are experts in glass, crystal, porcelain, pottery, rugs, and jewelry, furniture and art restoration and wicker and caning repair. Sean Rich of Tortuga Trading Inc. will be on hand. Rich is well known for the leasing of antique weapons on the Disney “Pirates of the Caribbean” films. He’s also appeared on TV’s “Pawn Stars” and other shows.
Show hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16 and Saturday, Jan. 17, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Jan. 18. Call 800-943-7501.
