Keep Del Mar Clean, DM Foundation, other agencies co-host beach cleanup Sept. 20

The Del Mar Foundation is working with Keep Del Mar Clean, the Rotary Club of Del Mar, and local businesses L’Auberge and Crossfit, in a community beach clean-up.

Volunteers of all ages are invited to this event, which takes place from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Del Mar Powerhouse, 1658 Coast Blvd in Del Mar. No registration required.

Before heading out to collect trash, participants are invited to hear a 20-minute presentation by Bruce Bekkar, leader at the Climate Reality Project, who will be speaking on the local impact of climate change.

Trash bags, grabbers and gloves will be provided. Light refreshments will be served. For information, contact the Del Mar Foundation at 858-635-1363.
