The Del Mar Heights Used Book Exchange collected new and gently used books for the students’ book exchange.
From Nov. 12-14, students and the community brought in books they no longer read in exchange for credits. The next week, Nov. 17-20, students could use their credits to pick out “new” books.
The goal is to get books into the hands of all students while helping to improve the environment by giving items for re-use. Any proceeds will be used to add books to classrooms and the school library. Any unused books will be donated to local children’s charities.
