9/11 Memorial held in Powerhouse Park
A “Silent Tribute” was held Sept. 11 at the Powerhouse Park in Del Mar. Flags were planted in the morning in memory of each victim of 9/11, with 2,973 flags planted. Once planted, observance continued throughout the day. An official event to honor the victims was held in the evening.
Local artist Barbara Kristoff-Scott organized this event for the 14th year.
