Del Mar-Solana Beach Rotary provides toys to foster kids
At a recent meeting of the Del Mar-Solana Beach Rotary Club, members collected and donated more than three dozen stuffed animals — plus cash donations — to Voices for Children so that it could provide holiday gifts to foster children at its holiday parties this season. For most children, the Voice for Children parties will be their only holiday celebration. Voices for Children helps abused children in San Diego County by providing them with volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). CASAs help clear paths for foster children out of the complex, overburdened child welfare system and into safe, permanent homes. CASAs also show foster children that someone really cares about them.
