Torrey Pines High School Freddie Awards show
Torrey Pines High School hosted its first Freddie Awards show May 28 at the Torrey Pines Gym to celebrate another great year of athletic achievement.
The Falcons have already won 10 League and seven CIF Championships this year, with more opportunities to come over the next few weeks. Another accomplishment is that 48 scholar-athletes from the Class of 2015 are being recruited to play at 36 colleges nationwide.
This inaugural awards event honored the best athletes, teams, coaches and performances at Torrey Pines’ version of the Academy Awards, with a celebrity MC and semiformal attire by the nominees.
The awards are named after Torrey Pines mascot Freddie Falcon.
